August 11, 2026 •Limited term merit will last 1 year with probability of an extension•Responsibilities What you'll do Conduct and document investigations and interviews with individuals diagnosed with sexually transmitted infections to ensure accurate reporting, treatment follow-up, and disease prevention. Research cases, perform medical record searches, and solicit required medical information from mandated sources to support timely and compliant public health responses. Interview clients by phone, in their homes, or in hospital settings to obtain essential information while maintaining strict confidentiality and professionalism. Answer incoming phone calls and conduct field visits to ensure cases are addressed promptly and community risk is minimized. Deliver educational presentations and assist with community outreach events to increase awareness, prevention, and access to testing and care. Perform basic clinical techniques, including phlebotomy and rapid testing for HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis C, to support early detection and intervention. What success looks like Investigations are completed accurately, thoroughly, and within required timeframes. Clients feel respected, informed, and supported throughout interviews and follow-up. Medical and investigative records are complete, compliant, and confidential. Community outreach efforts increase awareness, testing participation, and engagement. High School Diploma and two (2) years of experience in private, public, or community healthcare, community sanitation, health inspections, health education, data analysis, or related healthcare fields; OR an Accredited Associate's degree Must pass a physical examination as prescribed by the City. May be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen Must pass a background check as prescribed by the City.
