Responsibilities Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures Maintain a clean, organized mobile grooming station, adhering to sanitation standards to promote pet health and safety Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand specific grooming preferences and provide expert advice on pet care and maintenance Manage appointment schedules efficiently, ensuring timely service delivery while providing excellent customer service Recognize signs of veterinary concerns or health issues in pets and advise owners accordingly or refer to veterinary professionals when necessary Uphold all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, animal handling, and equipment operation to prevent injuries or accidents Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of different coat types and breed-specific styles Background in dog training, animal handling, or veterinary technician/assistant experience preferred for better animal management Knowledge of veterinary practices or veterinary experience that supports health assessments during grooming visits Ability to handle dogs confidently using animal restraint techniques while maintaining a calm demeanor Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and performing detailed grooming tasks in a mobile environment Prior kennel experience or pet sitting background is advantageous for understanding animal behavior and care needs Valid driver's license Embark on a rewarding career where your love for animals makes a difference!
