Duties Provide comprehensive grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping for a variety of dog breeds and sizes. Handle animals with care and confidence, utilizing proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and yourself. Assess each pet's condition, noting any health concerns or behavioral issues, and communicate findings to pet owners. Maintain a clean and sanitized grooming environment within your mobile unit, adhering to health standards. Manage appointments efficiently, ensuring timely arrival at client locations and delivering excellent customer service throughout each visit. Educate pet owners on grooming routines, at-home care tips, and breed-specific needs to promote ongoing pet wellness. Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of dog handling techniques. Background in veterinary technician or assistant roles, with knowledge of animal care and medical procedures preferred. Familiarity with dog training principles and animal restraint methods to ensure safe grooming sessions. Ability to lift heavy objects such as grooming equipment or large dogs safely and comfortably. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners. Experience working with animals in kennel settings or pet sitting environments is advantageous. Strong animal handling skills across different species including dogs; experience with equine or other animals is a plus.
