Menzner Hardwoods is seeking a qualified individual for a Forklift Room Operator role at our Somerset, KY location. This full-time position reports to the Finishing department Supervisor. Position Summary The Moulder Operator is responsible for setting up and operating moulding equipment to machine profiles on a variety of wood products for a moulding and trim manufacturing operation. This role ensures products are produced according to customer specifications, quality standards, and production requirements while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate moulder machines to produce specified wood profiles and trim products. Review production orders for dimensions, footage requirements, customer information, special instructions, and related job details. Obtain required machine heads and tooling from the grinding room. Set up machinery to achieve the correct profile and production specifications. Obtain supervisory approval prior to production runs and ensure all products meet quality standards. Monitor machine operation and inspect finished products for accuracy and quality compliance. Maintain accurate records of materials processed and production runs. Perform minor machine maintenance and routine equipment adjustments as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all company safety procedures and operational guidelines. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor. Physical Requirements Continuous standing and/or walking throughout the shift. Frequent repetitive lifting and handling of wood parts and machine components. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to wood dust, noise, and moving machinery. Ability to safely lift and move materials consistent with production requirements. Qualifications Previous experience operating moulders or woodworking machinery preferred. Ability to read and interpret work orders and production specifications. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Understanding of workplace safety practices in a manufacturing environment. Working Conditions Manufacturing and production facility environment. Fast-paced production setting with daily production goals and quality standards. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
