Job Description
Global Packaging, Inc, is a Global leader in the field of Flexographic Printing for the private label and branded markets of diapers, sanitary products, towel, tissue and napkins as well as frozen food packaging and baked goods. The Global team is dedicated to the continuous building of a diverse community, where each employee feels valued for their contributions coupled with the perspectives they bring. We are expanding our Phoenixville PA, and Oaks PA, facilities and are excited to add Mounter(s) to our team! We offer an extensive training program to provide you with the knowledge you need to be successful. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to use a ruler or tape measure in imperial and metric increments and the ability to work a 12-hour shift (6:00 PM -6:00 A.M.) with a 4/3 rotation schedule.
POSITION SUMMARY
: Responsible for accurately mounting, assembling, and installing printing components onto substrate, designed cylinders, or sleeves in accordance with job specifications to ensure high-quality print production. Prepares, inspects, and applies mounting materials utilizing Sticky-back and specialized flexographic printing sleeves or Twin-locks to ensure proper alignment and defect-free installation. To maintain production efficiency while meeting customer requirements, quality standards, and scheduled deadlines.KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowledge of Flexo mounting materials and application techniques, including the use of sticky-back adhesive tape and Twin Lock cylinders, and reusable sleeves. The role is hands-on and precision-focused, requiring both technical skill and attention to detail to apply the sticky-back to the printing plate firmly attached to the cylinder, to prevent slippage, to ensure wrinkle-free and bubble-free installation, while supporting consistent quality production efficiency. Utilize precision measuring instruments, align systems, and mounting equipment to ensure accurate plate registration, repeat accuracy, and proper positioning on sleeves or cylinders. Ability to use a ruler or tape measure to measure in Imperial and metric increments. Must be able to measure to 1/16th of an inch and in millimeters. Recognize and bring to supervisor any defects in the printing plates before mounted. Inspect printing plates before mounting and report any defects or irregularities to the supervisor immediately. Report any equipment issues or non-conforming product issues to the lead operator or to the supervisor. - Works to improve productivity, quality, environmental health and safety, sustainability, and the overall condition of the workplace. Comply with standard operating, quality, and safety procedures, including but not limited to personal protective equipment, job hazard assessments, machine guarding, material handling, safe lifting, plant safety rules, and environmental regulations. Records production data as required. Minimizes waste generated as a result of production process, complies with sustainability goals. Assists in training other operators as needed.
