Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Bauer is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented MRO Technician to perform disassembly, inspection, repair, reassembly, and final testing of aerospace engine accessories , including but not limited to: HMUs, fuel/oil pumps, nozzles, actuators, and related parts from CFM56-5B/7B and V2500 engines . •$1000 Sign-On Bonus offered for candidates with FAA A&P License or Repairman Certificate •This is a unique opportunity to join a newly launched FAA Part 145 repair station in its early startup phase. As we build a world-class MRO operation from the ground up, we are looking for technicians who are not only technically capable but also adaptable, self-motivated, and comfortable in a dynamic, evolving environment . A high degree of ownership, initiative, and tolerance for ambiguity is essential to succeed in this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Disassembly & Inspection Disassemble aerospace engine accessories using OEM Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) and in-house work Instructions Perform visual and dimensional inspections to detect damage, wear, or nonconformance Accurately record findings using controlled forms and traceable documentation per FAA and company policy Repair & Overhaul Clean, repair, and replace components using calibrated tools and proper handling procedures Interpret and apply engineering drawings, schematics, and FAA-accepted repair data Use torque wrenches, shimming, staking, and precision assembly methods per specification Reassembly & Testing Reassemble components and assist with functional testing (manual or test stand-based) Ensure proper routing through quality checks, in-process inspections, and signoffs Support defect tagging, nonconformance documentation, and Return to Service (RTS) readiness Documentation & Compliance Complete digital and paper traveler records accurately, supporting full traceability Comply with all FAA Part 145 procedures, internal repair station manuals, and safety rules Participate in internal audits, FAA inspections, and shop continuous improvement initiatives
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Training High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred FAA A&P License or Repairman Certificate highly desirable but not required Additional OEM, DER, or CMM-specific training (HMUs, actuators, pumps) a strong plus Experience 1-5 years in an aerospace MRO or manufacturing environment Familiarity with fuel, oil, or pneumatic components preferred Cleanroom, FOD prevention, and calibration-controlled processes experience a plus Technical Skills Proficient with mechanical hand tools, measuring devices, torque tools Comfortable navigating technical documents and digital records (PDFs, ERP travelers) Knowledge of FAA maintenance standards and component-level airworthiness requirements Core Competencies Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail High reliability and professionalism under FAA-regulated conditions Self-starter mindset with initiative to solve problems and improve processes Flexibility and comfort working in a startup environment with evolving systems Clear communicator and team player who values safety, compliance, and craftsmanship Ability to follow instructions exactly, including complex technical procedures Additional Requirements Fluency in written and spoken English is required U.S. Person Only per ITAR regulations Participation in an FAA Drug & Alcohol Testing Program is mandatory No relocation assistance is being offered for this role at this time Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and DOT-compliant drug screen Physical requirements: standing for extended periods, lifting up to 40 lbs., use of solvents, working with oils and mechanical tools
