Job Title:
Mechatronics & Robotics Technician (MRT) Job Description We are seeking a skilled Mechatronics & Robotics Technician (MRT) to install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment, such as conveyors, within our large distribution facility. The role involves completing preventative maintenance routines and documentation, managing work orders through a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and troubleshooting equipment issues. Responsibilities Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment. Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures. Perform battery changes and preventive maintenance on batteries. Enter downtime data in daily logs and complete preventative maintenance sheets. Manage work orders within a CMMS. Troubleshoot and identify problems with equipment. Track and store the department's inventory, including spare parts. Essential Skills Minimum of 2+ years of experience in predictive and preventative maintenance procedures. 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems and controls. 2+ years of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics. 2+ years of experience with electrical and electronic principles. 2+ years of experience following and demonstrating safety standards. 1+ year experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment systems. 1+ year experience with Microsoft Office products and applications. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial industries. Experience with automated conveyor systems, controls, and robotics. Experience with CMMS. Continuous improvement mindset. Experience with MHE safety standards according to OEM and safety standards. Associate's or higher degree from a vocational school or college focused on the mechanical or electrical field. 2+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the mechanical or electrical field. 2+ years of experience working with PLC-based controls systems. Work Environment This role is based in a large distribution facility equipped with high-speed automation and robotic components. Candidates should be comfortable with a performance tracking system that ensures expectations are met. The job requires physical activity, including walking up to 10,000 steps per day and lifting up to 49 pounds. Candidates must be open to working any 10-hour shift, as positions are available for all shifts. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Prince George, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.50 - $32.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
