Summary:
Hudsonville's Middle School Assistant Track Coach is responsible for overseeing the athletic team. The mission of Hudsonville Public Schools is to educate, challenge, and inspire all learners to become contributing, responsible members of a global society. This position is for the 2026-2027 season.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Organize and work with Athletic Director to schedule the sport season Lead team practices and conditioning sessions Possess a great love of the sport and a high interest in helping individuals reach their highest potential Good role model for student-athletes Current knowledge of rules, fundamentals, teamwork and the ability to relate to and teach teenage students Strong commitment to building a successful program for student-athletes Strong interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills Select, instruct, and coach the team through the season at practices and meets Create a positive learning experience for all members of the team Maintain all records, statistics, and awards information Maintain ongoing communication with players, parents, and media Education and/or

Qualification Requirements:

Experience:
Required:
Evidence of expertise in sport Preferably previous coaching or history playing sport
Preferred:
Previous coaching experience or history playing sport
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret communication including emails, letters, spreadsheet and forms. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from the community, regulatory agencies or staff members.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate basic mathematical formulas; add and subtract totals; multiply and divide; determine percentages and decimals; spatial aptitude to inspect length and weight of objects
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
