a great place to work, play, and live. The Role Responsibilities You will be responsible for creating and developing units of instruction for both middle and high school-aged students. Shawano has recently updated it's Foreign Language curriculum resource with technology integration for the four levels (FrenchI, II, III & IV
) at the high school. 8th grade students will be offered an introductory level of French for the 2026-2027 school year. As the teacher will be required to travel from the middle to the high school (approximately 1 mile) daily. Role Requirements As an ideal candidate, you must possess a bachelor's degree in French, education, or a related field, along with a valid state teaching license or certification in French or world language education. You are able to demonstrate strong proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding French, as well as the ability to create engaging lesson plans that support student learning and cultural awareness. Previous classroom experience, including student teaching or teaching in a school setting, is preferred but not required. You are someone that has strong communication skills, classroom management abilities, and a passion for working with adolescents are essential for success in this role.
