Salary:
Starting salary is $32.00/hr
Position Overview:
Center for Spectrum Services is seeking a compassionate and skilled Music Therapist to provide services during a staff leave. This is a temporary leave replacement position with a defined duration (July 2026- January 2028), with potential consideration for future opportunities. The candidate will support the Kingston and Ellenville locations. The ideal candidate will provide engaging music therapy services to students while collaborating with classroom staff, related service providers, and families to support student growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and implement weekly classroom music therapy groups. Collaborate with classroom teams and related service staff to integrate age-appropriate music enrichment activities throughout the school day. Record weekly notes documenting music groups. Attend Communication Department meetings, monthly staff meetings, and other meetings required. Provide staff in-service workshops and parent training. Order educational materials and supplies as needed. Maintain MT-BC credentials. Utilize appropriate behavior management techniques and follow student behavior plans. Maintain a safe working environment. Adhere to policies outlined in staff and HR handbooks. Demonstrate familiarity with and adherence to state and federal regulations, including SED, Medicaid, and Office of Children and Families guidelines.
Additional Duties:
Meet with support staff as needed. Complete designated team meeting follow-ups Complete required paperwork and documentation Contribute to the productive functioning of the school community. Qualification Master of Science in Music Therapy Board Certification (MT-BC) (required) Recent graduates eligible or preparing for board certification exam are encouraged to apply.
