Teach and perform age-appropriate activities, such as lap play, reading, and arts and crafts, to encourageintellectual development of children; Remove hazards and develop appropriate boundaries and rules tocreate a safe environment for children; Regulate children's rest periods and nap schedules; Meet regularlywith parents to discuss children's activities and development; Perform first aid or cardiopulmonaryresuscitation (CPR) when required; Model appropriate social behaviors and encourage concern for others tocultivate development of interpersonal relationships and communication skills; Instruct and assist children inthe development of health and personal habits, such as eating, resting, and toilet behavior.
