Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Nanny / Live-in Option to provide loving, attentive, and professional childcare for children of various ages. This role offers flexibility for live-in arrangements, allowing you to create a nurturing environment that promotes growth, safety, and happiness. This role is ideal for a nanny who enjoys active toddler engagement, learning-based play, and maintaining consistent routines. The child thrives with interaction, guidance, and encouragement, so the nanny should be proactive, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting development through play, exploration, and structured activities. The family is seeking a long-term fit (2-3 years) and values strong communication, professionalism, and a collaborative relationship with their nanny. A private basement in-law suite is available for candidates interested in a live-in arrangement. Duties Provide attentive, engaged care for a 3-year-old child Plan and lead daily activities including play, learning sessions, and outdoor time Support structured daily routines including meals, naps, and bedtime transitions Prepare simple meals and snacks for the child Encourage age-appropriate independence, learning, and behavior Maintain organization and cleanliness of child-related areas, including: Tidying toys and play spaces Cleaning up after meals and activities Washing child dishes and bottles Assisting with child laundry as needed Schedule and facilitate activities or outings (parks, walks, learning opportunities) Provide support during family travel (approximately 2 times per year) Maintain open and consistent communication with parents Skills Prior professional experience caring for toddlers Warm, patient, and nurturing with a structured and proactive approach Strong communication skills and fluency in English Professional presentation and demeanor Ability to balance gentle care with firm, consistent boundaries Reliable, organized, and attentive to detail Non-smoker / non-vaper Up-to-date vaccinations (Flu, COVID) preferred Comfortable working in a home where parents are present (remote work environment) Other Things to consider Competitive hourly compensation based on experience Guaranteed 40-50 hours per week Live-in option with private in-law suite (optional) Long-term opportunity with a stable and supportive family Cash allowance available for child-related needs Start July 1, 2026 Hours 40-50 hours per week Primarily Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays Join us in creating a warm, engaging environment where children can thrive! Pay:
