The Oregon Department of Agriculture is seeking a Natural Resource Specialist 3 (Fertilizer Case Reviewer) to help support the Fertilizer Program. What you'll be doing As the Natural Resource Specialist 3 (Fertilizer Case Reviewer) you will review investigation case files for accuracy, clarity, completeness, and legal defensibly to ensure conformance with applicable state and federal regulations. You will draft enforcement documents including civil penalties, stop sale/use/removal orders, detainment, notices of violation, and general enforcement correspondence for use by program management and legal counsel. You will prepare written analyses, case summaries, and recommendations for enforcement actions, including findings, conclusions, and proposed legal strategies. You will provide technical expertise to program staff, regulated entities, other agencies, and the public regarding statutes, rules, regulatory requirements, and compliance expectations. You may develop and recommend program policies or procedures to improve efficiency, and regulatory clarity. This is a full-time permanent in-office position, Monday thru Friday, 8AM to 5PM. Click here to view a full description of this position. What we're looking for: Three years of experience in natural resources. At least one year of the experience must be at a technical or professional level performing activities such as researching and analyzing data, conducting investigations, applying pertinent laws and regulations, or coordinating and monitoring project activities; AND a Bachelor's degree in a Natural Resource related education. OR a total of six years of related (pertinent) experience.NOTE:
A Master's degree in a Natural Resource related education will substitute for up to one year of the required experience. A Doctorate degree in a Natural Resource related education will substitute for up to two years of the required experience.Requested Skills:

Focus on providing excellent service to both internal and external customers. Ability or experience mediating conflict or difficult conversations.
