Salary Range:
$76,328.00 to $95,410.00 per year. This is an exempt (salaried) position. Pay rates are based on education, skill, experience level and internal equity. Community Support Services (CSS) transforms lives and community by supporting veterans, ending homelessness, treating substance use, and preventing and intervening in community and domestic violence. As a department in Mecklenburg County's Health and Human Services Agency, CSS maximizes community partnerships and collaborative opportunities to improve access to services and advocate for the needs of special populations. Position Specific Information This position serves as the community's data lead as it relates to housing instability, homelessness, and prevention. It is responsible for leading, coordinating and monitoring community research & evaluation efforts. Produce reports such as the annual State of Housing Instability & Homelessness report, which is used by community stakeholders to inform funding allocation needs and trends. This position leads and manages multiple projects and special assignments on behalf of the Department and the County as they relate to these areas. Position is full time onsite Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.Located at 3205 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208. Position Summary Performs research and analysis for an assigned County Department or Division. This lead position is responsible for managing projects, advising management on results and recommending necessary adjustments to department procedures. Essential Functions Conducts research and analysis and advise management on results. Recommends necessary adjustments to department procedures. Works under the guidance of department management on strategic projects to include assisting in the establishment of goals and objectives. Responds to requests from State, County, local municipality government, or community stakeholders. Manages various projects aligned with Strategic Business Plan goals. Gathers and organizes information about the problem to be solved or the procedure to be improved. Interviews personnel and conducts on-site observations to determine the methods, equipment, and personnel that will be needed. Analyzes financial and other data, including revenue, expenditure, and employment reports. Develops solutions or alternative practices. Recommends new systems, procedures, or organizational changes. Makes recommendations to management through presentations or written reports. Confers with managers to ensure that the changes are working.
Minimum Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of four years of experience in a related field.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field, including but not limited to Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, etc. Combination of relevant education and relevant experience accepted?
Yes Licenses and Certifications:
May require a valid NC or SC driver's license. May require an annual Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in business administration, Public Administration, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field. Knowledge and experience with research methodologies related to homelessness and housing systems. Knowledge and experience with maintaining data dashboards (WordPress). Previous experience with HMIS (Homeless Management Information System). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services; this includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction Business and management principles involved in strategic planning, project management, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources Structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar Principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems
