The Classroom Support staff member is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for children, staff, and families along with meal service, assisting in the classroom, and shopping. Requirements High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license Details for Support Services Opening in New Salem Pay is $17.00/hour 32 hours per week. 9-month position from mid-August to mid-May. Classroom Days:

Children attend on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday.

Prep/Training Day:

Wednesdays are dedicated to preparation and professional development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Adhere to all principles of confidentiality. Clean Head Start areas and bus. Maintain playgrounds - i.e. snow and ice removal, mow, sweep sidewalks, pick up trash, etc. Prepare and cleanup for meals and snacks. Assist in the classroom. Grocery shopping. Report bus mileage. Submit maintenance request for facility maintenance and bus upkeep. Attend Safety and Sanitation training. Successfully complete CPR and First Aid Drive bus routes, when applicable. Regularly required to walk up/down stairs (classroom is in the church basement); stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or sit on the floor while interacting with the students.
