About this role: As a Nephrologist you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. Intermountain Health is seeking a collaborative and mission‑driven enterprise‑wide Medical Director to join our nephrology team based at the Budge Clinic in Logan, Utah. This unique role blends clinical practice with strategic leadership, offering the opportunity to shape the future of kidney services across the enterprise while continuing meaningful patient care. In this position, you'll balance 0.6 FTE of clinical practice with 0.4 FTE of administrative leadership, supporting the growth, quality, and success of nephrology services system‑wide What you'll do: Your primary practice location will be the Budge Clinic in Logan, Utah, with clinic hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Clinical responsibilities include outpatient clinic care, dialysis oversight, and inpatient rounding, with additional clinical support provided to McKay‑Dee Hospital and Layton Hospital. Call responsibilities will generally be one out of every four to five weeks. You will collaborate closely with Intermountain nephrologists, advanced practice providers, and nurse navigators to deliver comprehensive general nephrology care across outpatient, hospital, dialysis, and telehealth settings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership experience, support a patient‑centered, value‑based care model, and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams. A teaching and learning mindset, as well as an interest in home dialysis, is preferred. Participation in weekly interdisciplinary care meetings and educational conferences is supported.
