Job Description

Network Cabling Technician San Francisco, CA $28 an hour - Full-time $28 an hour - Full-time Experienced Network Cabling Technician to support network infrastructure, facilities operations, and site security. If you excel at racking/stacking, cable patching, troubleshooting, and IP phone support, this role puts your hands-on skills to work every day.

San Fancisco, CA Traveling:
2-hour radius
Pay:
$28/
HR Responsibilities:
Rack, stack, patch, and troubleshoot network devices. Install and de-install switches, routers, phones, and related hardware. Support Cisco & Avaya IP phone installs, programming, and troubleshooting. Perform physical layer diagnostics using Sniffers, BERT, cable/fiber testers. Complete MAC (Move/Add/Change) requests within SLA. Support carrier circuit testing and backup connectivity checks.
Assist with facilities tasks:
UPS restoral, cooling issues, water events, fire suppression activities.
Manage inventory:
receiving, tagging, tracking spares, returning damaged equipment. Communicate clearly with customers and act as onsite interface with management.
Requirements:
5+ years in data communications. Strong experience in communications closets and rack/cabinet work. Knowledge of LAN/WAN basics, Cisco phones/switches/routers. Familiarity with 66/110 blocks and cross‑connect procedures. Ability to lift heavy equipment safely. Excellent customer communication and problem‑solving skills.
