Night Shift Lathe Machinist

CNC Lathe Machinist responsible for complex CNC lathe setup, multi-axis turning, inspection, and production of high-precision aerospace components. Job Requirements Approximately 10 years of CNC machining experience CNC lathe machining experience with C-axis and Y-axis equipment Experience using jaws of various sizes, 16C collets, and 5C collets Multi-axis CNC turning experience Live tooling experience Sub-spindle experience Y-axis machining experience preferred GD&T knowledge Blueprint reading experience Experience working with tight tolerances Ability to perform complex CNC setups First Article Inspection experience Experience machining hard-to-cut alloys and heat-resistant aerospace materials Working knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP, and FAA quality requirements Proficiency with inspection tools and precision measuring techniques CNC machining troubleshooting experience Experience producing high-quality parts to defined standards and procedures Preferred Skills Okuma control experience Fanuc control experience Aerospace manufacturing experience Experience with detailed, specification-driven machining work Experience working from established standards, guidelines, and procedures Experience supporting structured training or documented setup processes Job Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC lathes for high-precision aerospace components Perform complex CNC lathe setups Run multi-axis CNC turning operations using C-axis, Y-axis, live tooling, and sub-spindle equipment Select and use jaws, collets, and workholding based on part requirements Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and manufacturing documentation Machine hard-to-cut alloys and heat-resistant materials Perform First Article Inspection and in-process inspections Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensional accuracy Maintain compliance with AS9100, NADCAP, FAA, and internal quality requirements Troubleshoot machining, setup, tooling, inspection, and production issues Produce parts according to established standards, tolerances, procedures, and quality requirements Document setup details, inspection results, and production information as required

Pay:
