Non CDL Box Truck Driver

Full time permanent position, M-F 6:00AM - 2:30 PM. You must have previous delivery driving experience in a 26 foot box truck or larger and be able to prove you are good at backing up to tight loading docks. Warehouse work experience is also preferred. Important! Due to this position making deliveries to licensed child care facilities and schools, the state of Georgia mandates that a fingerprint criminal history background check is required. Employees in this role are not allowed to have ANY prior felony convictions no matter how long ago and there are certain misdemeanors that are automatic disqualifiers too like domestic violence charges, and any charges involving children or sexual offenses.

Key Responsibilities:

Make food available to hungry people in southeastern and coastal Georgia while developing community awareness and upholding Food Bank values. Drive Food Bank reefer box trucks to make product pickups at grocery stores, distribution centers and other donor locations and deliveries to agencies and affiliate nonprofits. Deliver prepared food to organizations that provide meals to low income children including shelters, schools and daycare facilities. Maintain accurate records by completing all required procedures and forms to ensure the smooth operation of the Food Bank. Assist in organizing and sorting donated food. Assist in warehouse duties when instructed by supervisor. Other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Additional Responsibilities:

Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly facility for the smooth operation of the Food Bank. Assist with the moving and placement of furniture and equipment when needed. Assist other staff members, when appropriate, with moving or distributing inventory, equipment, or vehicles. Maintain appropriate documentation to keep driver's license and DOT physical card current. Operate all warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Applicant will undergo DOT drug screen, criminal history background check and motor vehicle history check upon hire and must be eligible to be added to our fleet carrier insurance.
