About the
Role:
The Non-CDL Driver plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe transportation of goods and materials throughout New England. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service, as drivers will interact with clients and ensure their needs are met during deliveries. The primary end result of this role is to maintain a high level of efficiency in logistics operations while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. Drivers will be responsible for maintaining the vehicle in good working condition, which includes regular inspections and reporting any issues. Ultimately, the Non-CDL Driver contributes significantly to the overall success of the company's supply chain and customer satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid medical card and valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as a driver in a logistics or delivery role. Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns. Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
Responsibilities:
Operate non-CDL vehicles to transport goods to designated locations in a timely manner. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured and handled properly. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to provide updates on delivery status.
