Responsibilities Safely operate shuttle buses, paratransit vehicles, or similar transportation modes to transport clients to scheduled appointments and destinations. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their comfort and safety during transit. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to guarantee optimal performance and safety standards are met. Communicate clearly with clients, dispatchers, and healthcare providers to coordinate schedules and address any special needs or concerns. Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and client interactions for record-keeping purposes. Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure a secure transportation environment. Handle heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility devices or luggage, demonstrating compassion and professionalism at all times. Skills Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or similar commercial driving roles. Familiarity with paratransit services, school bus driving, limousine operations or other specialized transportation environments. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting passengers or handling equipment. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance routines to identify potential issues proactively. Excellent driving record with experience in heavy traffic conditions and diverse routes. Customer service-oriented mindset with patience, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions.
