Education Active RN license required Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred Experience Education and staff development experience required. Physical This is a safety sensitive position. Please see the St. Bernards Substance Abuse Policy for further information. Normal hospital environment. Exposure to biological hazards. Close eye work. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Distinguish smells. Distinguish temperatures by touch and proximity. Frequent exposure to fumes, odors and water. Lifting up to 100lbs. Carrying up to 40 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 350lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping and reaching.

JOB SUMMARY

The position will work to assist the Nurse Residency Program Coordinator in the maintenance of an RN residency program for new nurse graduates and work to facilitate professional development opportunities for internal nursing professionals. In addition, they will assist with educational activities associated with transitioning into clinical practice and mentor and support nurse residents through clinical and professional development. They will assist with all departmental workforce initiatives, including apprenticeships, career navigation, and CNA internships. They will help provide coaching, conflict resolution, and performance feedback for nurse residents.
