Description Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a Nuclear Criticality Intern in Oak Ridge, TN. Navarro Research & Engineering is an award-winning federal contractor dedicated to partnering with our clients to overcome their most challenging environmental, technical, and infrastructure missions within the nuclear and environmental industries. Headquartered in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Navarro has active programs in place across the nation for DOE/NNSA, NASA, and the Department of Defense. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern to join our team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for students pursuing a career in engineering, environmental science, or related fields to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The intern will work on a variety of projects supporting Navarro's mission to deliver effective solutions for complex challenges in the nuclear and environmental sectors.Key Responsibilities:
Assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting for ongoing projects. Support engineering and environmental teams in the design and implementation of project plans. Conduct research on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements. Prepare technical documents, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders. Participate in team meetings, project planning sessions, and site visits. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals and deadlines are met. Contribute to the development and optimization of project workflows and processes. Requirements Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. A passion for learning and a proactive attitude.
