Job Description

Category Imaging - Nuclear Medicine Job Type Contract Embark on a dynamic opportunity to utilize your expertise in nuclear medicine imaging within a well-supported healthcare environment. This contract role involves delivering high-quality nuclear medicine procedures and collaborating closely with physicians and the broader care team to provide accurate diagnostic results.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures as ordered by physicians Operate and maintain SPECT, SPECT/CT, and gamma cameras in accordance with safety regulations and department protocols Prepare, calculate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring strict adherence to all safety and regulatory guidelines Accurately capture patient images and analyze data for physician interpretation Maintain detailed records of patient procedures, dose administration, and imaging results Educate patients and ensure comfort throughout preparation, imaging, and post-procedural processes Troubleshoot technical issues and monitor equipment performance to ensure consistent, high-quality imaging Work collaboratively with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program Active ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification required Current BLS certification Previous experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a clinical or hospital setting strongly preferred Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures, safety standards, and radiopharmaceutical handling Excellent patient care and communication skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail This role offers a structured yet flexible professional environment where you can make a direct impact on patient outcomes.
