Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our growing diagnostic imaging team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work across our three conveniently located office facilities while providing high-quality patient care and contributing to accurate diagnostic imaging services. This position provides flexibility to rotate between our three locations: Lithonia Camp Creek Decatur Schedule may include some rotational assignments across facilities to ensure optimal staffing and service delivery. We at Atlanta Heart Specialists are committed to delivering exceptional diagnostic services and patient experiences. Our team of skilled professionals is passionate about using advanced imaging technology to help physicians make accurate diagnoses and improve patient outcomes. Work hours are typically 9am-5pm. No weekends. No call.
What You'll Do:
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations using nuclear medicine procedures and equipment.
  • Monitor patient vitals during testing.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients and monitor their response.
  • Operate imaging equipment such as gamma cameras, and stress system.
  • Performing treadmill stress tests.
  • Able to perform manual blood-pressure measurements.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information, procedure details, and radiation dosage.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze imaging results.
  • Follow established protocols and guidelines for nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
  • Adapts well to different work environments.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or required to ensure operation of the department within the scope of practice.
  • Cardiac PET experience highly desirable.

What We Require:
  • A graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine technology program, be registered in Nuclear medicine with the ARRT or the Nuclear medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or eligible for certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • BLS and/or ACLS certification
