Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Nurse Aide- Med Surg/Tele 3S
- Full Time, Days In this role, the successful candidate under the supervision of the registered nurse, performs routine service duties and basic nursing procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.
Job Responsibilities:
Patient Care Delivery- The nurse aide delivers basic nursing care to provide for the care and comfort needs of the patient. Responds to patient's call lights promptly to determine patient's needs and relays information to appropriate nursing personnel. Observes the patient and reports any reaction or change in condition to the nurse in a timely manner. Assists the patient in the activities of daily living
- nourishment, ambulation, personal hygiene, toileting.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School Diploma or GED BLS certification (AHA only) and first aid training. De-escalation training provided on job. Ability to read and write at an elementary school level to understand the patient's plan of care and to record data on the patient's medical record Ability to perform simple arithmetic calculations at an elementary school level in order to take and record the patient's weight, vital signs, I & O Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with patients and their families that demonstrate recognition of cultural diversity Basic analytical skills in order to gather data, complete comparisons, interpret, & report outcomes to the nurse or document on the medical record.
