Behavioral Health / Chemical Dependency Treatment About the Opportunity Lincoln Healthcare LLC is partnering with a respected behavioral health and substance abuse treatment provider in the Lucedale area to identify a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner for a PRN opportunity. This position plays a critical role in supporting patient care through medical evaluations, treatment monitoring, medication management, and collaboration with the Medical Director and interdisciplinary treatment team. The ideal candidate is clinically confident, patient-focused, and experienced working in fast-paced behavioral health or addiction treatment settings. Position Summary The Nurse Practitioner will perform patient history and physical examinations, monitor treatment progress, document medical care, and support medication management under the direct supervision of the Medical Director. This role requires strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Perform history and physical examinations for newly admitted patients Conduct weekly patient visits and document medical progress Write orders for laboratory work and medications under physician supervision Participate in clinical staffing and interdisciplinary treatment planning Provide education regarding medication usage and side effects Complete medication reconciliation and first-dose documentation Assist with patient screenings and intake support with physician backup Initiate appropriate evaluation and treatment during emergency situations when necessary Maintain compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality requirements Support a safe, cooperative, and professional work environment Complete additional duties as assigned Qualifications Current Nurse Practitioner certification from an accredited college or university Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Mississippi Minimum of one year of experience in chemical dependency or behavioral health treatment preferred Current malpractice insurance coverage with limits up to $1 million per occurrence Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a healthcare environment Continuing education maintained per state licensure requirements Physical Requirements Ability to stand continuously for 45 minutes to 1 hour at a time Ability to physically assist disoriented or intoxicated patients weighing approximately 140-170 lbs Why Apply?
