Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary A private provider group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to provide medical coverage at a skilled nursing facility on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced NP looking for a flexible schedule in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

Round on nursing home patients 2 or 3 days per week Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, specialists, and families Review laboratory and diagnostic results Complete timely and accurate EMR documentation Assist nursing home administration with clinical policies and procedures Participate in on-call coverage: One weekday night call per week (phone coverage only) One weekend call per month (phone coverage only) No requirement to physically go to the facility during call coverage unless necessary

Qualifications:

Active New York State Nurse Practitioner license Valid DEA registration Active NPI number Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred Experience in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, Hospital Medicine, or Skilled Nursing Facility setting preferred Proficient in computer use and electronic medical records (EMR) Strong communication and organizational skills No health benefits(Due to part time workers) Must provide a recommendations
