- We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Unit Manager to oversee the operations of our healthcare unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of patient care, and the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. This role is crucial in ensuring high-quality care delivery while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations within the unit, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal patient care.
- Implement and monitor adherence to infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Oversee acute pain management strategies and ensure appropriate interventions are in place for patients.
- Conduct physical examinations and manage documentation related to patient care.
- Provide guidance on behavioral health issues, ensuring that staff are trained to recognize and address these needs.
- Facilitate training sessions for nursing staff on topics such as suture techniques, workers compensation law, and senior care best practices.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans for patients.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards within the unit.
- Experience
- Proven experience in nurse management or a similar leadership role within a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of infection control practices, acute pain management, and behavioral health principles.
- Familiarity with sonography procedures is preferred but not required.
- Experience in conducting physical examinations and managing patient documentation is essential.
- Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility as needed.
