Duties Organize plants when they come in from freight, price plants, and keep them rotated. Water, fertilize, prune, and propagate plants to promote healthy development and vibrant displays Monitor environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, and light levels to ensure optimal plant health Maintain cleanliness and organization of the greenhouse or nursery area, including tools and equipment Assist with inventory management by tracking plant stock levels and ordering supplies as needed Support pest control efforts using safe and effective methods to protect plants from disease and infestation Help with load outs of outside merchandise. Helping customers in person and over the phone with information regarding the nursery and green house. Help with load outs and carry outs of bagged goods and live plants. Experience Previous experience working in a nursery, greenhouse, or horticultural setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is highly valued Basic knowledge of plant care techniques including watering schedules, pruning methods, and pest management Ability to operate gardening tools and equipment safely and effectively Strong attention to detail with an ability to follow instructions precisely Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining high standards of safety and quality Good physical stamina for lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and performing manual tasks This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in plant cultivation within a lively team environment.
