HOURS:

Approximate 20hrs/week averaged across the year. Expect seasonal fluctuation. •Could be split into two roles of average 10hrs/week.•

HOURLY PAY

Starting at $25/hr.

START DATE

Immediately, training over the next couple of months. 3 month trial period 1-2 yr commitment after that

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

Office/Field and Packing Manager are on the same level. They are a team and come to agreement together whenever possible. When there is disagreement, the owner can make the final decision.

SCHEDULE

In person at least two days/week, preferably three (unless it's a super slow time). Sunday should always be one of those days.

DUTIES:

Meet weekly with Justin at the beginning of the week•Touch base with the Packing Manager at the beginning of the week. Touch base with the Customer Service Agent at the beginning of the week. Send owner brief weekly report at the end of each week. Use Asana to receive, give, and track tasks Maintain systems of communication with other team members Assemble meetings between parties when necessary. Be available for questions throughout the week (track hours for this, as well)

NOTE:

you are encouraged to set boundaries around when you can be available, both in person and via message. Hire and Manage Customer Service and Tax Accountant Hire New Field Workers Hire as needed for the tasks below - the goal is to delegate to other workers to keep this position's workload lower. Update front and backend of website, as needed Coordinate with Tech person when needed Write Bi-weekly Newsletters Social Media Marketing Pay Vendors Answer Emails at Manager@nativefoodsnursery.com Bi weekly Payroll Supply Ordering/Pickup in coordination with Packing Manager Coordination with Owner - regular Hiring for or doing the following: Hiring for weeding, organic spraying, weed whacking, potting up bareroot, dead plant clean up, etc. Plant Ordering/Inventory Plant Pickup/Receiving Monitoring and Addressing Plant Health Irrigation Maintenance and Use Shade cloths taken up and down Maintain/Fix infrastructure issues in the field NOTICE of ending role: Minimum 1 month notice either way (3-6 month preferred).
