Responsibilities Assist with planting, watering, pruning, and maintaining a wide range of nursery plants and trees using proper horticultural techniques Operate irrigation systems to ensure optimal moisture levels for different plant varieties Use hand tools and mechanical equipment safely for planting, trimming, and soil preparation tasks Identify various plant species and diagnose common issues related to pests or diseases to support healthy growth Support greenhouse operations by monitoring temperature, humidity, and ventilation systems Perform heavy lifting of soil bags, plants, and equipment to facilitate daily nursery activities Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including tools, storage spaces, and planting zones Skills Growing experience with plants, trees, or flowers in nursery or landscaping settings Knowledge of horticulture principles including irrigation systems and soil management Hands-on greenhouse experience is highly desirable Familiarity with lawn care practices and landscaping techniques Basic mechanical knowledge for operating gardening machinery and hand tools Ability to identify different plant species accurately Strong physical stamina for outdoor work involving heavy lifting and prolonged standing Basic math skills for measuring soil quantities, spacing plants, or calculating fertilizer amounts Farming or agriculture background is a plus for understanding crop cycles and sustainable practices This role offers an energetic environment where your enthusiasm for gardening can flourish.
