The Role This role blends clinical credibility with educational leadership, supporting ambulatory teams through new initiatives, technology adoption, and professional growth. Your days are dynamic, relationship‑driven, and highly impactful, balancing planning with hands‑on engagement. On any given day, you may be: Partnering with clinical and operational leaders to support new projects, workflows, and equipment rollouts , contributing to thoughtful project planning and implementation Designing and delivering engaging education plans , including visual learning tools and presentations tailored to adult learners Providing at‑the‑elbow training in ambulatory settings, ensuring staff feel confident, competent, and supported during change Collaborating closely with Nursing Professional Development to oversee: Orientation programs Nurse residency initiatives Ambulatory‑specific learning courses Serving as a trusted clinical resource for nurses and unlicensed assistive personnel by: Supporting scope of practice questions Reinforcing competency development Encouraging ongoing professional growth Leveraging Epic proficiency to support training, workflow understanding, and education alignment Applying strong organization and attention to detail to manage multiple initiatives while maintaining high standards The pace is active and engaging, with direct interaction across disciplines and clinic environments. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
BSN with Master's Degree in Nursing or health related field required. DNP, EdD, or PhD preferred.
Experience:
Experience in education program design and evaluation required. Knowledge and experience in adult education principles required. Evidence of excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required. Five (5) years of clinical nursing experience in a patient care setting preferred. Three years of experience with orientation and education of staff in a clinical setting preferred.
Licensure:
Must be a registered nurse and currently licensed to practice in the State of Virginia. Certification in area of specialty preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs. The starting base rate for this role is $74,922.00 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
