  • Night Shift, 3x12 Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Nursing Supervisor to lead our dedicated nursing team in delivering exceptional patient care across diverse healthcare settings.
In this vital role, you will oversee daily nursing operations, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and foster a collaborative environment that promotes professional growth. Your leadership will directly impact patient outcomes, staff satisfaction, and the overall quality of care provided. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate nursing staff across multiple departments. Oversee patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and medical documentation to ensure accurate and timely records in EMR and EHR systems. Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of all patient information while managing medical records and documentation. Provide clinical guidance on complex cases involving ventilator management, IV infusion, catheterization, wound care, medication administration, and infection control protocols. Facilitate staff training on new procedures such as sterile technique, aseptic practices, CPR/Basic Life Support, and use of medical imaging or diagnostic evaluation tools. Lead quality improvement initiatives aligned with NCQA standards and hospital accreditation requirements; conduct utilization review and management activities. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Manage staffing schedules, supervise nurse management activities, and support team development through coaching and performance evaluations. Requirements Minimum 4 years acute care experience. ED experience required. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN Preferred Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Maine Current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications Demonstrates clinical proficiency in the age appropriate care of patients using the nursing process Demonstrates leadership skills with strengths in communications, organization, management of conflict and problem-solving Ability to function independently Ability to act rapidly and efficiently in emergency situations Join us as a Nursing Supervisor where your leadership will inspire excellence in patient care while fostering a supportive environment for our healthcare professionals!
