The Shipping Associate 1 position is an entry-level position in which specific tasks will be explained and expected to be followed. Training for various types of packing will be given and the Shipping Associate 1 will then need to successfully perform those tasks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Properly pack and identify tote and tool contents. Perform packing procedures relevant to proper containerization of mills for transport. Uses construction type tools and equipment with ease. Dependable in attendance, learning, and performance. Works closely with Supervisors, and Co-Workers. Can physically perform job duties. Must be able to operate both powered and non-powered material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jack, cranes, and mobile straddle stacker lift. Employees must report any damage to a supervisor or manager. Employees are expected to follow instructions, procedures and to escalate any issue impacting workflow, quality, etc. Employees must exhibit honesty and integrity as well as demonstrate adherence to rules, procedures and policies.
