Shipping Operations Associate 1 As the largest machine tool builder in the western world, we need world-class talent in all of our departments. Come join us at our new 2.4 million square foot factory in Henderson, NV. The Shipping Associate 1 position is an entry-level position in which specific tasks will be explained and expected to be followed. Training for various types of packing will be given and the Shipping Associate 1 will then need to successfully perform those tasks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Properly pack and identify tote and tool contents. Perform packing procedures relevant to proper containerization of mills for transport. Uses construction type tools and equipment with ease. Dependable in attendance, learning, and performance. Works closely with Supervisors, and Co-Workers. Can physically perform job duties. Must be able to operate both powered and non-powered material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jack, cranes, and mobile straddle stacker lift. Employees must report any damage to a supervisor or manager. Employees are expected to follow instructions, procedures and to escalate any issue impacting workflow, quality, etc. Employees must exhibit honesty and integrity as well as demonstrate adherence to rules, procedures and policies. Maintains an active Haas Forklift certification. Desired Qualifications Education High school diploma or high school equivalency (HSE) credential such as general education degree (GED) is required, plus an additional one to three months related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Major Other Minimum Years of Experience 0-1 year Language Skills Must have the ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and safety rules; such as work instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Mathematical Skills Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. May need to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs. Reasoning Ability Must have the ability to solve practical problems.
