This type of appointment is not approved to work more than 999 hours per year for all positions combined. Should incumbents work more than a total of 999 hours in a year the appointment may not continue beyond one year of service. Accountabilities Various positions are available to assist with tasks related to the keeping of grounds at Seven Oaks Golf Course.
Duties may include performance of lawn maintenance including grass cutting, trimming, seeding, fertilization, litter and leaf removal, hedge trimming, brush cutting, limited tree trimming and felling, planting, weed control and general duties related to the beautification of university property. Other job related duties as assigned.
Requirements Professional Experience/ Qualifications A current, valid driver's license, in accordance with the University's motor vehicle policy may be required for certain job opportunities.
Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with a diverse group of faculty, staff and students on a daily basis.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of constituents. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of the game of golf is helpful, but not required. Education Physical Requirements Must be able to stand for long periods of time and to lift and carry up to a maximum of 50 pounds.
