Entry-Level Safety Technician Job Description This is a field-based, entry-level role focused on conducting in-home safety inspections. Technicians are assigned daily routes and travel to residential locations to identify potential hazards such as corrosive piping and fire risks. This position does not involve performing repairs - only inspection, documentation, and reporting. No prior industry experience is required; training will be provided. Responsibilities Travel to multiple residential locations daily using a personal vehicle Follow assigned routes provided via tablet or mobile device Enter homes professionally to conduct safety inspections Identify and document potential hazards (e.g., piping issues, fire risks) Accurately record findings using company-provided tools and systems Communicate clearly with supervisors regarding progress and any issues Maintain a professional and customer-friendly demeanor at all times Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures Requirements Valid driver's license Comfortable driving throughout the city and traveling between job sites Reliable transportation Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and follow directions Comfortable entering residential homes Ability to be on your feet and work outdoors throughout the day Compensation & Training Starting pay: $20/hour Increase to $21/hour after 2 weeks of paid training Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Queens, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
