Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Occupational Therapist School Setting K-5 - Melrose Park, IL We are partnering with a supportive school district in Melrose Park, IL to hire a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for the upcoming school year. This is a full-time, school-based opportunity working with elementary-aged students in a collaborative educational setting. The ideal candidate is student-focused, organized, and excited to help children develop the functional skills needed to succeed both academically and socially throughout the school day.

Monday-Friday Hours:
8:30 AM - 3:40 PM Elementary school caseload School sites and caseload assignments are currently being finalized W2 contract position through an agency Competitive and negotiable pay based on experience Benefits available ESY opportunity available
Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy services to elementary students in accordance with IEP goals Conduct evaluations, assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Support students with fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-help skills, handwriting, classroom participation, and overall functional independence Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district and state guidelines Participate in IEP meetings and provide progress updates as needed
Qualifications:
Active Illinois OT license Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred, but not required Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills Apply Now for the 2026-2027 School Year!
