Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a part-time OT or COTA, supporting students at a respected educational institution near Crown Point, IN! Make a meaningful difference while collaborating with a dedicated team focused on helping students achieve their greatest potential. This assignment begins on May 5, 2026, and concludes on June 5, 2026. The position covers 14 hours per week, spread across 2 days, with working hours from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM and a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Your expertise will be valuable in both Portage and Valparaiso locations, serving a diverse caseload that will keep your work dynamic and impactful.
Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license required Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly preferred Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborative care models Strong communication skills for interactions with students, families, and educational teams Ability to adapt strategies to individualized student needs across varied classroom environments
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students, as indicated in their IEPs Assess, document, and report progress toward therapeutic goals Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Provide both individual and group interventions, adapting activities to maximize student engagement Maintain accurate and timely documentation of sessions and student progress Enjoy a structured yet flexible part-time schedule—ideal for professionals seeking work-life balance or supplemental experience in a supportive school environment.
