Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position as a skilled Occupational Therapist, supporting students in a dynamic educational environment near Brooklyn, MI. Make a difference by helping young learners reach their developmental and academic goals through specialized therapy and collaboration with educators and families.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active Occupational Therapy license in Michigan (OT required) Previous experience providing OT services in school settings preferred Familiarity with IEPs and special education processes Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to adapt interventions to diverse student needs and abilities Committed to fostering a supportive, inclusive learning atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to students per Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Assess students' abilities and develop targeted intervention plans Collaborate with teachers, other therapists, and families to maximize student success Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student progress Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise on goals and accommodations Utilize a variety of techniques to address fine/gross motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom performance Offer guidance and training to school staff on strategies and supports for students
