Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a full-time Occupational Therapist supporting a vibrant school community near Flower Mound, TX. You'll play a key role in fostering student growth and independence as you cover a 12-week leave of absence at the very beginning of the 26/27 school year. Collaborate with a passionate team of educators and specialists while making a meaningful impact on students' daily lives and academic success.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active Occupational Therapy license in Texas (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date) Previous experience in a school-based OT setting strongly preferred Solid understanding of IEP processes, direct interventions, and legal compliance in educational environments Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative OT services to students with a diverse range of needs Conduct assessments and contribute to multidisciplinary IEP meetings Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support educational access and skill development Maintain thorough records of evaluations, progress notes, and service delivery Serve as a resource to staff and parents regarding occupational therapy strategies and accommodations Adapt interventions to fit classroom routines and promote student participation Take advantage of a contract role that offers stability for 12 weeks during a crucial part of the academic calendar.
