Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role helping students achieve their fullest potential for the 2026 - 2027 school year as an Occupational Therapist in a dynamic educational setting. This full-time, contract position will support students near Caney, KS, serving a broad and diverse population. Caseload details will be shared within 24 hours, allowing you to step in confidently as you plan meaningful interventions and support. Your expertise in school-based and healthcare occupational therapy, including home health experience, will enable you to tailor services that address each student's unique needs. You'll provide assessments, develop and implement IEPs, and collaborate closely with educators and families to create positive learning environments.
Your background includes:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in Kansas or the eligibility to obtain it. Experience or familiarity with school, home health, and healthcare OT settings. Solid understanding of pediatric therapeutic techniques, intervention planning, and IEP development. Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills. Flexibility to adapt to changing caseloads and student needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify student needs. Developing, implementing, and documenting individualized occupational therapy plans. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families to support student progress. Providing direct and consultative services within school and home settings. Maintaining required documentation and attending IEP meetings as needed. Contribute meaningfully to students' independence and success, all while expanding your own professional skills.
