Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting students' growth and potential for the 2026-2027 school year as an Occupational Therapist in an educational setting. This full-time contracted opportunity begins August 11, 2026, and extends through December 18, 2026, with the possibility to continue. You'll be working across multiple school sites near Port Hueneme, CA, surrounded by a dedicated, collaborative team eager to help you succeed. Your expertise as an Occupational Therapist will empower students to enhance their independence, overcome challenges, and thrive in the classroom environment. The precise grade levels to be covered will be determined closer to the start of the assignment, and any preferences regarding age groups can be discussed during the interview—ensuring your fit within the team and matching your strengths to the student population. Prior experience in schools and familiarity with IEP processes will help you hit the ground running.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state of California Previous experience in a school-based OT role Knowledge of assessment, intervention, and documentation within educational settings Ability to collaborate with educators, paraprofessionals, and parents Familiarity with SIRAS is a plus, but not required Strong communication and organizational abilities Adaptable and open to working with various student age groups and needs
