Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact on students' lives by bringing your expertise as an Occupational Therapist to a dynamic educational setting for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, contract opportunity offers the chance to support students across multiple school sites, providing vital services that foster independence and success in both academic and daily living tasks.
Key Experience & Skills:
Valid Occupational Therapist license in California Experience working within school settings, including knowledge of IEP processes Ability to provide a broad range of OT interventions in educational environments Expertise in both direct therapy and consultative services for students and teachers Previous work in home health or healthcare environments is a plus Exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills Willingness to travel between sites within the Riverside area
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary through high school students as indicated by IEPs and referrals Conduct thorough evaluations and develop individualized therapy plans Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy into students' educational goals Document services, progress notes, and updates in compliance with district and federal guidelines Provide training and resources for school staff and parents to support carryover of skills Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility assessments, and progress reporting Adapt interventions and materials to meet diverse student needs across multiple locations
