Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to support elementary-aged students in a school-based setting for the next academic year. This part-time contract position offers approximately 3-5 hours per week serving a caseload of three students, with the potential to increase to around 10 hours per week by covering a nearby charter school site. This role is strictly on-site and not open to COTAs; a fully licensed OT is required.
Key Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapist license valid for school-based practice Minimum of one year of experience working with elementary-aged students preferred Strong background in school-based OT, including assessments, goal-setting, and documentation Skilled in collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary school teams Ability to manage a small caseload efficiently and independently Comfortable adhering to IEP requirements and supporting diverse student needs Reliable transportation to work on-site, with flexibility to travel between local schools if combining assignments
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct OT services to students in accordance with IEP goals Conduct thorough assessments and document progress Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support students' success in the educational environment Offer consultation and training for educational staff on strategies and adaptations Maintain accurate, timely records of services and student achievements Communicate regularly with families and faculty to promote holistic student growth This is a wonderful chance to make a tangible impact in a supportive school environment while maintaining a flexible part-time schedule.
