Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role supporting students across K-12 as a contract Occupational Therapist for the upcoming academic year! In this dynamic school-based position, you'll collaborate on-site to deliver individualized care, helping students overcome challenges and reach their fullest potential within the educational environment. Assignments vary—some are itinerant—offering the chance to serve diverse school communities near Whittier, CA, and truly make a difference. This full-time opportunity begins August 11, 2026, extending through June 4, 2027. You'll engage with a range of caseloads and age groups, applying your expertise to assessments, intervention planning, and student advocacy within the IEP process. Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapy license for the state of California (required) Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (required) Experience or fieldwork in school-based therapy strongly preferred Understanding of educational terminology and the Special Education process Familiarity with standardized assessment tools Ability to adapt and work with minimal direct supervision Strong organizational and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students K-12 Assess students and develop evidence-based intervention plans Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and participate in IEP meetings Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district standards Travel between assigned school sites as needed Why choose this opportunity?
