Job Description
Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity this fall as an Occupational Therapist supporting students during a dedicated leave coverage. This contract assignment runs from August 14, 2026, through October 30, 2026, providing you with the chance to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic educational environment near Bolingbrook, IL. In this role, you'll work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to help students reach their fullest potential. Your expertise will ensure students are provided with individualized interventions to improve their school participation and overall development.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Active Occupational Therapist license in Illinois Previous experience working in a school-based setting preferred Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation Ability to assess, plan, and implement occupational therapy interventions for diverse student populations Effective communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families Adaptability and organization skills to manage changing caseloads and prioritiesKey Responsibilities:
Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and progress Develop and update treatment plans and maintain timely records of therapy sessions Consult with educators and participate in IEP meetings to support student outcomes Provide staff and family training to support student goals within the school setting Assist students with developing or regaining skills needed for educational success This contract opportunity is ideal for those who enjoy variety, challenge, and the ability to make a rapid impact.
