Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for the summer as an occupational therapy professional working on-site near North Richland Hills, TX. This flexible, part-time assignment runs from June 1st to June 25th and offers a unique chance to make a meaningful difference in a school environment for just 2 hours per week. As a key member of the educational support team, you will work directly with a caseload of 54 students while providing consultative services to an additional 14, supporting their functional and academic success through targeted occupational therapy interventions.
Preferred Experience and Competencies:
Valid OT licensure for practice in Texas Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings, especially working with diverse student populations Strong organizational skills for preparing IEP paperwork and documentation Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and attend ARD meetings as required Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities Include:
Delivering direct occupational therapy services to students on your caseload Providing consultative input to staff and families for students receiving indirect support Preparing and updating IEP documents, including goal-setting and progress monitoring Participating in ARD meetings and collaborating on individualized plans Maintaining accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines This position offers the convenience of a short-term, part-time schedule and the valuable experience of working within a supportive educational context.
