Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic school environment as an Occupational Therapist serving elementary and high school students in a rewarding contract position. Whether you prefer full-time or part-time, you'll play a meaningful role in supporting student growth and development by using your specialized skills to make a tangible difference each day.
Key Qualifications:
Active New Mexico Occupational Therapist license Valid New Mexico Occupational Therapist PED certification Previous experience providing OT services in a school setting is highly desirable Strong skills in conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations Adept at working on multidisciplinary teams and communicating effectively with teachers, administration, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to students at both elementary and high school levels Perform detailed assessments to identify student needs and develop targeted intervention plans Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, providing expert input and collaborating on individualized plans Partner with educators, staff, and families to ensure the highest quality of care and continuity of services Maintain thorough documentation according to district and state requirements Foster student independence, participation, and success in the classroom This contract position offers the flexibility to shape your schedule and gain valuable experience across student age groups.
