Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity where your expertise as an Occupational Therapist can make a significant impact on students from PreK through 12th grade. This contract role is a perfect fit for professionals seeking a flexible, part-time schedule in a school-based setting. As an integral support to students and staff, you'll dedicate one day per month—7.5 hours per visit—throughout the 26/27 academic year, from August 10, 2026, to May 13, 2027. Working with a manageable caseload of 13 to 14 students, you'll collaborate with education teams to help learners reach their fullest potential. You will also provide supervision to a dedicated COTA, enhancing services and outcomes for students with diverse needs. What you'll bring: Valid state licensure and certification as an Occupational Therapist Previous experience in a pediatric or school-based environment preferred Skills in assessment, treatment planning, and documentation for PreK-12th grade Ability to effectively supervise and mentor an occupational therapy assistant (COTA) Strong communication and organization skills Collaborative approach with educators, families, and staff Your responsibilities will include: Conducting screenings, assessments, and evaluations tailored to each student's needs Developing individual treatment plans aligned with IEP goals Providing guidance, oversight, and mentorship to the COTA Documenting progress and maintaining compliance with school and district requirements Participating in meetings with school teams and families as needed Enjoy the benefits of a consistent, predictable part-time schedule, making this contract an ideal match for OTs seeking professional balance and meaningful engagement.
